Almost two weeks have passed since the release of Android 12 DP2. The second developer preview of Android 12 has been released with a number of new features. But as you know, the Developer Preview is for testing purposes and may still have bugs. And to fix some known major bugs, Google has released a new minor update for Android 12 Developer Preview 2.1 with WebView bug fixes. You can download Android 12 DP 2.1 and the new features of the new update here.

We also received a similar update dedicated to fixing bugs after Android 12 Developer Preview 1. And now it seems that it will be the usual process of bug fixing, which we might also see after the next review by the developers. The latest version of the Developer Preview 2.1 has the build number spp2.210219.008.

In the latest Developer Preview 2 update, a major problem caused many applications based on the WebView system to crash. If you use Android, you must have already updated the WebView system used by apps like Gmail, Google, etc. several times. If you are using the Android 12 Developer Preview 2 update and the apps are crashing, you can fix the issue by updating to the latest Android 12 DP 2.1.
